ATEX explained
Certified for the right hazardous zone
ATEX classification defines how likely an explosive atmosphere is in a given area. We supply equipment certified to the correct zone, gas group and temperature class for your site.
Zone 1 equipment
For areas where an explosive gas atmosphere is likely to occur in normal operation. Certified to operate safely in higher-risk zones.
Zone 2 equipment
For areas where an explosive atmosphere is unlikely, and only for short periods. ATEX-rated for lower-risk hazardous areas.
Gas & dust rated
ATEX covers flammable gases and vapours as well as combustible dusts — supplied to the correct gas group and temperature class.
